A solitary woman moves through the darkness, leading a horse by its rein. A crescent moon hangs above. The world reduces to silhouette and the particular silence of night. Nothing is explained. Nothing is overstated.
The restraint of the image is its power. Sandjiev does not tell you how to feel. He places you in the darkness beside her and trusts you to understand what departure means.
